Document Attestation

1. Attestion of Documents from Nepal:

Academic certificate, relationship verification, marriage registration, birth registration, death registration etc. documents originated from concerned government authority of Nepal and attested by the Department of Consular Services, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal, are attested from the Embassy.

A letter for riving License issued issued by competent authority Nepal will be provided from the Embassy.

2. Attestion of Documents from Canada:

The Embassy will attest documents issued by Canadian government only after verification from competent local authorities of Canada. As per the latest information sent to the Embassy, the details of competent authorites of Canada for document attestation are as follows:

3. Procedures for consular attestation:

Applications for document attestation can be sent by post or be submitted in-person to the Embassy. Reauired documents for application are as follows:

  1. An application (Click here to download)
  2. Copy of Nepali citizenship and passport (Copy of Nepali citizenship of both husband and wife in case of marriage registration certificate),
  3. Original and a photocopy of the document to be attested from the embassy,
  4. Attestation fee of CAD 70.00 for each document (As of July 17, 2018) and can be paid by Debit Card (if in person) or Bank Draft / Money Order in the name of “Embassy of Nepal, Ottawa” ,
  5. Returning self-addressed envelope in case of not appearing personally.
